Inayatiyya Hudson Valley Center Steering Committee 4/24

Look what we have accomplished  in 2024. 

The Inayatiyya Hudson Center is a teaching center of the Inayatiyya https://www.inayatiyya.org which is a global organization dedicated to the Sufi message of Hazrat Inayat Khan.

Our mission is to serve The Sufi message to awaken the wisdom of the heart and proclaim the divine unity of all people, all religions, and all existence by offering:

• Message Classes every Thursday  at 7 PM
• Universal Worship services every Sunday at 11 AM in person and on Zoom, changes coming soon.
• Conducting Universal worship in the community at large
• Celebrations of Life for our members
• Once a month Zoom healing service by Gayatri Hull.
• Individual retreats housed at the Abode with our expert retreat guides.

We have  a program of online retreats for national and international students. Our offerings have been very well received and we averaged 35 – 45 people per retreat

• Winter Renewal Retreat with Naima Brown and Yaqin Aubert
• Spring Retreat with Suhrawardi Gebel
• Spring Retreats with Nur Richard Gale, ‘Arif Toop and Kamila Stannard, Yaqin Aubert
• Pir Vilayat Urs Program with Aziza Scott and Sharif Graham
• 6 week classes with Sharif Graham
• Labor Day Retreat with Naima Brown and Yaqin Aubert
• Autumn Retreat with Suhrawardi Gebel and more

With our online Retreat Programs we spread the teachings of Inayat Khan, Pir Vilayat Inayat Khan, Pir Zia Inayat Khan and other spiritual  teachers, providing spiritual nourishment for seekers around the world as far as Oceania, Europe, Latin America and  US nationals. 

With the proceeds of the online Retreats Programs the Inayatiyya Hudson Valley Center has been able to:

• Provide full or partial scholarships for those in financial stress
• Provide 740 pounds of  carbon exchange through our ticketing system for this year alone.
• Provide 3 local families in stress with tuition for their children’s summer camp.
• Provide $300 worth of Christmas gifts for local families with children in stress.
• gifted money to our local Charlie’s Food Pantry.
• Gifted $500 to the Hope Project in New Delhi, India
• Gifted the Abode and the Inayatiyya Order $500 each for their end of the year fund drive.

Technically, we are in the process of transcribing Aziza Scott’s tapes/CDs for all to listen.

Developed a new website. Have storage for recordings of classes and UW Services for all to access, and many more things…
